"Playing Up" Policy
The KMU Board recently approved a new policy recommended by the Coaches Committee governing players “playing up” (i.e., playing at an age level higher than what their birth date requires). This policy, which will become effective for the ’09-’10 season, requires all players to play at an “age appropriate” level unless no team is available at their age level or they are granted a special exemption by the Board upon the recommendation of the Director of Coaching and/or Coaches Committee.
Players seeking a special exemption to play up are required to make a written request to the Director of Coaching at coachingdirector@kmunited.org.
