Kettle Moraine United Mission StatementKM United’s Mission - to provide a unified, positive soccer experience for youth in the greater Kettle Moraine Community in a manner that develops and enhances their skills and passion for the game - and translates into success both on the field and off. History -Kettle Moraine United was formed in 2008 as a result of a merger between two local soccer programs, the Kettle Moraine Soccer Club and Kettle Moraine Recreation Association. For years, KMSC and KMRA provided soccer opportunities for youth in the greater Kettle Moraine community - KMSC through its recreational and select programs, KMRA through its recreational programs and its affiliation with the Dousman Soccer Club, which operated under the charter of KMRA. While these programs all had great success, the existence of two clubs operating competitive programs in the same school district became a source of great confusion and frustration on many levels. Clubs competed for players; players had to decide where to go and which friends to play with; families had players playing in both clubs; clubs duplicated efforts, etc. KM United merged these programs to capitalize on the positive attributes and resources of both clubs, and eliminate the confusion and difficulties created by the existence of two clubs in one community – providing the greater Kettle Moraine Community with a single, unified program committed to developing the skills and success of our players and their teams – all the way through their high school years. KM United now provides recreational and competitive soccer opportunities to hundreds of players and families in the greater Kettle Moraine community. |
